I don't know whats got into me this weekend. Two posts in two days after months in the wilderness.

Today I'd like to share a slideshow and some of my favourite images from Robert and Diane's wedding reception. They were lucky enough to get married in Italy and were accompanied by close friends and family. They wanted to celebrate with all the friends and family that couldn't make Italy and held a wedding reception at Pumpherston Golf Glub on the 1st of October. I was fortunate enough to be invited along to capture a few memories from the night.

I've included a slideshow of the images and also put some of my favourites from the night up slightly larger to show more detail.

I can't believe how quickly time passes

Where does time go? Over the last few months I seem to have had no time at all to update my blog or facebook. I'm sorry about that and hopefully will have a few more posts up soon.

Anyway, here's a few images from a quick 15 minutes I managed to grab with my kids, Rory and Taomi. I've been waiting to try out a ring flash adapter for a while now so I thought I'd see how it coped with a couple of uninterested (in what I was doing) kids. These were taken in my house in Bathgate as the kids went about doing what kids do.

Studio images

This week I've been working on some new marketing material for my photography business. It's one of the things I should spend more time on but you know how it is, there's never enough time in the day.

I've created the following slide show to showcase a selection of childrens studio portraits I've taken recently at my home based studio in Bathgate. I love capturing images of children, you never know what you are going to come up against on the day, and it keeps the photography fresh and interesting.

Over the coming weeks, I'll be uploading a couple of slideshows showcasing location portrait sessions, and a wedding slideshow so check back soon.

I'd like to introduce you to my lovely daughter Taomi. She is 5 and was a beautiful model for the day. To be honest I had to bribe her with some yellow play dough to do the portrait session but thats kids for you.

Hi there and welcome to my blog. For those of you who do not know me, I'm Robert and I love taking stunning pictures of people. I'm hoping to share my experiences with you all and show you images that inspire and motivate you.

To start off I'd like to show you some images I've taken recently after attending a Damian McGillicuddy training course. I was inspired by the creativity Damian displayed in a pretty boring conference hall at Loxley printers in Cumbernauld. By following simple principles Damian managed to create outstanding images that wouldn't have been out of place in a major fashion shoot.

After the course I decided to challenge my photography and take myself out of my studio comfort zone and take images around my house. Have a look at the results below and please let me know what you think.

I'd like to thank my son Rory for helping me create the images. He was a star for the day and I even caught him in the mirror practising his smiles.
